JESUS CHRIST died on the cross to fulfill the prophesies written down in the Old Testament a long long time ago.  Mary is who GOD choose to send HIS only begotten SON to come to the earth through a virgin birth.  The BIBLE focuses very little on Mary as she is not the Savior.  She did not pay for our sins by being hung on the cross. *See Below.  Mary is who JESUS came through and not to be worshiped.  Why HE died on the cross.. was to pay for the sins of the world so they could come in fellowship or relationship with the FATHER GOD.

*Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
